How LUCKY we are!- Pics added

Holy crap, ten years ago we graduated and our lives began. Over the years people come and go, but the ones who matter stick around year after year. Over the past few years The Sandlers have packed up the car and headed north to visit with friends from our college days. We have been going to Massachusetts around fall, and each year the group grows. It is such a great atmosphere and we get to see our friends' families grow one by one. Last fall we took a hiatus. This spring we all decided it was time! We setteled on Memorial day weekend.

Our trip begins in central Jersey, a quick stop in North Jersey to hook up with the Miller clan, and on to Massachusetts. We usually stop in Hartford to check in on the old stomping grounds. This year was a little different. We left in the afternoon and as quickly as it began, we were stopped. Traffic, Scott, and a screaming/hungry 3 month old DO NOT mix well! We had to make 2 pitstops to feed the growing boy, and one to feed the adults. But after a few hours, we finally arrived in Amesbury, the car ride was in the past and food, friends, and great times was all we could see. After our 9 hour trip it was on like donkey kong and we all relaxed and went to bed around midnight.

We woke up on Saturday morning and to our surprise, Nate and C dogg (Caden) slept amazingly!! After our beautiful breakfast spread, the ladies went to Zumba baby. The men were left to care for the 6 kids, 3 on 6 - no problem! The men rose to the occasion and handled it well. Saturday was filled with playing outside, eating, drinking. playing outside, playing outside and eating, and of course pictures. During the day/evening we were visited by 2 additional families/friends. The Baizens and the Colemans. It was great to see everyone under one roof, with their beautiful families. We all enjoyed a wonderful home cooked meal by the original pampered chef Elease, drinks by bartenter extrordinaire Nat-tastic, Entertainment provided by NCJLZJLA band, building by everyone's guy Bri-guy, technology by Mill-house inc. Cervesa by El Chris G., and that leaves Sarah, Andrew, Becca and me to enjoy... OH and the Author J. C. - yes, Jenn Coleman, was in the building ladies and gentlmen.

Sunday went down pretty much the same way as Saturday, minus the Zumba. Food, outside play, Nate's "favorite movie Cars" and a heck of a lot of pictures. We decided to hit the road Sunday night so the kids could all sleep and man was that a great choice. No traffic just the open road.

We got home around midnight, it was an easy transition into the beds and that was that. We woke up on Monday, and Sarah and I looked at each other and said "Wow, what a great weekend, can't believe it is over!" We can't stop talking about it, from the drive up and the pit stop in Applebees, to Elease's cooking, to the ride home. It was one of the best ways to spend Memorial Day! Hands Down!

You have this way about you that is hard to describe except that it is fun, comforting, relaxed, laid back, warm, inviting, loving, and the list can go on, and on, and on. WE loved meeting all of the new little ones, as well as great old friends. We look forward to seeing everyone again ASAP!!
