Time Flies When You Are a Sandler

Good day everyone. The Sandlers are back. We wish we could say we have been on a month long vacation, but sadly it has been a balancing act of life, family, friends and a little thing called work. So we had to make a sacrifice and the blog updates were it. So here we are back in the swing, and sit back (or lean forward if you forgot your glasses in the bedroom) and read all of the craziness that has happened.


After the labor day weekend, Nate started school. It is a two year old program where he goes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Poppy gets to take him and he just loves it! Our fridge is FULL of art projects that Nate has made already! Luckily for me, Judy took pics of Nate's first day.




Then the Sandlers went quiet because there was a little secret that was occurring. Aunt Lenora from California came in for Judy's wedding shower. So we had to "hide her" from Judy for a few days. The event was held at the Bella Vista Country Club on September 13th (Mom's birthday). It was a beautiful day and Judy was surprised. . . . . NOT!




Once the shower was completed, we breathed a sigh of relief, no more secrets.

Then came the news of the Millers moving. We headed up tot he new house to help them move in. We had a great time and the ladies got to talk while the kids played. The men Miller, Nault, and Scott moved all the furniture and boxes into their house.

After the move, came the daily question, Did Nault become a Daddy yet???? Well it happened. Nault and Lauren (I think more Lauren but Nault was there ) had a baby girl, Elle Grace, on September 27th. Everyone is doing just great and we look forward to the lifelong adventure of Nault losing his mind from his little girl.

This week was the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. La Shana Tova fellow Jews, happy days off for teachers! On Sunday we went apple picking and Nate loved picking the apples off the tree that were on his level. Scott also had fun climbing into the tree to get the really good ones up high. Scott used some of the apples for his dessert for Rosh dinner. On Monday, after work, we went to the Philly Sandlers where all of the Philly/Jersey Jews had dinner. Dinner was set for 22 people. The food was amazing and the company was even better! Tuesday, we got a chance to visit Gram at the nursing home. Since it was beautiful outside, we wheeled her out and she got a chance to watch Nate hit his baseball. We had a great time with her and it was great to see her up and about!

Side note: Last year, my parents gave their rotten gords to the animals to eat from Halloween. Since part of them ended up rotting into the ground, this year, we had an unexpected growth of new gords! Poppy had a great time teaching Nate what happened and then they picked the new gords together. What a learning experience!
