Hi there. It has been a long time since either of us have sat down to write and update. So what have we been up to?? The weekend after Father's Day, we went to Chase's college graduation party in Philly and then the 4 of us hopped in the Element and headed for the Jersey Shore (Ventnor to be exact). We planned on staying until Tuesday for a long weekend and a small getaway before Sarah headed to Vegas with the Quackers.
The following weekend we spent Sunday with the Millers traveling Central Jersey. We headed to Long Branch for lunch and to hit the beach. We then went to the sprayground in Colts Neck. Before we could enjoy the water (Although the kids played in a sprinkler b/c the sprayground was closed.), the skys opened up and there was a ferocous rain storm with a lot of thunder and lighting.
Following a short week, Sarah was packed and left for Vegas for the July fourth weekend. While she was headed out west, the Sandler men hit AC for another long weekend. It was great bonding time for Nate and me.
Scott's weekend . . .There are no pics because Sarah had the camera in Vegas, therefore I wrote what we did together.
Thursday we hit the beach. Nate fianlly loved just playing in the sand.
Friday I was pleasantly surprised when Nate napped for 2.5 hours. The nap left us unable to get to the beach, but we decided to walk to the Hilton Casino with Bubbie, Pop-Pop and their entourage where they watched the Beach Boys perform. Unfortunately I was unable to get the stoller on the beach so we sat and Nate loved looking at all the delightful characters AC has to offer. We then headed to a Bar-B-Q for dinner/Brett's birthday. We had a great time and Nate could not stop playing with some balloons and new friends he meet there. On our way home we saw some fireworks in the distance, we drove towards them and to our surprise, we got to see a great fireworks display right in front of us. Nate's jaw was on the ground the whole time.
Saturday
We woke up early and decided it was not a beach day, so instead we were off to the Cape May County Zoo which is only 40 minutes from AC. Nate napped in the car and he was eager to see all the animals. Each animal we went to (lions, tigers, and bears oh my) were sleeping and Nate simply asked them to WAKE UP! and sure enough he must have a gift b/c one by one they started to walk around. Not only that, the lion gave a roar that would scare even the zoo keepers. Once we completedd the zoo, we headed back to the house to take a bath and get ready for the ride home.
Sunday
Nate and I went looking for decorations for Mommy's arrival. We then hit Petco where Nate picked out 3 new fish. We had dinner with Grammy and Poppy and then it was time to wait until Sarah got home. We had a great weekend and Nate could not have been more fun, relaxed, and enjoyable!!!!
Sarah got home around 11:30 pm and I set up ballons, streamers and a banner for when she walked in. I was so excited to see her!!
