Celebrating Nate's 2nd Birthday and Passover

This past Friday the 18th was Nate's 2nd birthday. We decided not to do a big party this year because his birthday fell on the night before Passover. Therefore we had family over our place Friday night for some dinner and cake! Nate woke up to presents from Scott and me and the presents just kept coming all day from everyone else.

On Saturday, we took Nate to the Bronx Zoo as a birthday present from us. We met up with the Millers who join us in the fun! The weather couldn't have been more perfect if we tried! Zachary, Nate and Jordan were all so cute together. The Bronx Zoo is so big that after almost 5 hours we didn't even get to see the whole zoo, so we will definitely be back! Now we know why the zoo has a shuttle, skyride and a monorail! Nate didn't nap all day from the excitement but he passed out on the way home.

When he woke up refreshed, we were at my parents' house for Passover dinner. Bubbie, PopPop, Uncle Brett, Jamie, Aunt Judy, Vito, Grammy, Poppy and Nana were all there to greet him! While we waited for dinner to be ready, we went out to the backyard to play soccer. Aunt Judy and Vito got Nate a soccer ball (which we left at home, so we had to use a different ball) and net for Hanukkah and it was time to bring it out! Uncle Brett had fun chasing the ball as Nate kicked it in every direction. By the time dinner was ready, Nate learned how to put the ball directly in front of the goal and kick it into the net. Then he would yell "SCORE"!

It was a long, fun two days. We like to think that Nate had a great birthday. On Sunday, the three of us hung around the house and just relaxed. We needed it!
