We are fam-a-lee. For Hanukkah, Mom and Dad Sandler got Scott and Brett gift cards to a restaurant in Philly. The gift was to Capital Grill. When Scott, Sarah, Brett and Jamie set out to find a date, we all figured, why not add cousins Leigh and Joe? It so happened that cousin Hayley, Leigh's sister, was free that night also and joined in on the fun. So the date was set, March 1st. It was right around the time cousin Leigh had a bridal show for her work. She seemed really busy. The next time you see her, ask her about it.
The NJ Sandlers packed up for the night to stay at the PA Sandler household. Since the older cousins were together, it worked out that Nate and his cousin Ilyssa (Leigh and Joe's daughter who is 4 days younger than Nate) got to spend some time together as well with Pop-Pop, Bubbie, and MomMom Eileen. They are the cutest together!!
Joe, Leigh's husband, works at Capital Grill, so while we were there, it felt kind of like we were celebrities. We were surrounded by managers, cooks, waiters, waitresses, chefs drinking beers, and food galore! We all finally got to feel what it is like to be royalty.
All kidding aside, it was a really great evening and we all realized that night how lucky we are to have family like us around!!
